]]> We recently undertook a Commercial EPC in Bristol and came across something rare in the quotation process. We entered our price as normal and had a response from the client that a competitor had came in with a far cheaper price.

Upon further investigation with the client the competitor had quoted and mentioned they need not visit site, this would automatically make any EPC lodged against a building Illegal and the client could be prosecuted for failing to produce a legal EPC.

After talking to the Garage saying would you give a MOT without seeing a car and the client saying No she began to understand the situation she almost got to.

After advice she has now gone to trading standards to report this rogue EPC assessor. Good news that the EPC came back at a C grade and it is legally on the central register.

]]> BEST Compliance undertook Fire Evacuation plans on a Care home. We quickly came to realise via the site visit that an escape route for residents with partial mobility was unusable and using our experience we came to a solution for the client at no extra charge.

Our experience had picked up this problem early doors whist undertaking our own work and could in fact save lives in the future.

Please insure your Fire Risk Assessment is up to date and has been prepared by a responsible person with the right experience.
